Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Social Media Viewer ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, tools, and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of any updated or revised Terms.
These Terms define the rules for using our tools. The key points: be respectful, don't abuse the service, don't use it for illegal purposes, and understand that we provide the service "as is." We've kept the language plain so you can understand exactly what you're agreeing to.
Definitions
For clarity, here's what key terms mean in this document:

Eligibility
You must meet the following requirements to use the Service:
- You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/EEA/UK) to use the Service
- You must be able to form a legally binding contract under applicable law
- You must not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws or sanctions
- If using a Paid Plan, you must have authorization for the payment method used
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Your Account
Account Creation
The Free Plan requires no account — you can start browsing immediately. Paid Plans (Pro and Business) require an email address for account management and billing.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at support@viwr.co.uk. We are not liable for losses from unauthorized access that you fail to report.
Account Closure
You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. Upon closure, all personal data is deleted within 30 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by tax law, but are stripped of personal identifiers.
Acceptable Use
You may use the Service to view publicly available social media profiles across supported platforms. Specifically, you agree to:
- Use the Service only for personal, research, or legitimate business purposes
- Respect the privacy and dignity of individuals whose profiles you view
- Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws
- Respect intellectual property rights of content creators
- Use downloaded content only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless you have obtained proper licensing
- Provide accurate information when contacting support or reporting issues
Our Service displays publicly available content from third-party platforms. We do not host, create, or modify this content. The content belongs to its respective creators and is subject to their platform's terms of service.
Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension:
- Stalking or harassment — Using the Service to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten any person
- Automated scraping — Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to extract data at scale beyond what the Service provides
- Illegal activity — Using the Service for any activity that violates applicable law
- Identity theft — Using viewed information for identity theft, impersonation, or fraud
- Commercial redistribution — Selling, redistributing, or commercially exploiting content downloaded through the Service without proper authorization
- Service abuse — Attempting to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure
- Reverse engineering — Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our source code or proprietary algorithms
- Circumventing limits — Creating multiple accounts to bypass Free Plan rate limits
Violations may result in: (1) immediate account suspension, (2) permanent IP ban, (3) cancellation of paid subscriptions without refund, and (4) referral to law enforcement for illegal activities. We reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate to protect the Service and its users.
Intellectual Property
Our Rights
The Service itself — including our website design, interface, code, logo, and brand — is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without written permission.
Third-Party Content
All profiles, posts, stories, and media displayed through the Service belong to their respective creators and the originating platforms. We do not claim ownership of any third-party content. Downloaded content is provided for personal use only.
Trademarks
"Social Media Viewer" and our logo are our trademarks. Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these platforms.
DMCA
If you believe your copyrighted content is being displayed through our Service in a way that constitutes infringement, submit a DMCA notice to support@viwr.co.uk. We will respond within 48 hours.
Subscriptions & Billing

Payment
Paid Plans are billed in advance through Stripe. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Business plan customers can pay via bank transfer for annual billing.
Auto-Renewal
Paid Plans auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Price Changes
We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for the remainder of their current billing cycle. New pricing applies at the next renewal.
Refund Policy
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first payment on any Paid Plan. No questions asked. Contact support@viwr.co.uk to request a refund.
- First-time subscriptions: Full refund within 14 days, no questions asked
- After 14 days: Refunds evaluated case-by-case. We're reasonable — if there's a genuine issue, we'll make it right
- Annual plans: Pro-rated refund available within the first 30 days. After 30 days, no refunds on annual plans
- Account bans: No refunds if your account is banned for violating these Terms
- Payment disputes: Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We resolve issues faster than your bank
Disclaimers
No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- All profiles will be available for viewing at all times (platforms may restrict access)
- Downloaded content will be of a specific quality or format
- The Service will remain compatible with all third-party platforms indefinitely
Third-Party Content Accuracy
We display content from third-party platforms as-is. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of any content viewed through our Service. Content belongs to and is the responsibility of its creators.
No Affiliation
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the social media platforms whose content we display. All platform names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
- We are not liable for any data loss, business interruption, or loss of profits resulting from Service downtime or issues
- We are not liable for the actions of third parties — including content creators, platform operators, or other users
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any misuse of downloaded content — you are solely responsible for how you use what you download
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations. In those cases, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Governing Law & Changes
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
For EU/EEA/UK users: You retain the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under mandatory consumer protection laws.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date
- Notify all registered users via email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect
- Maintain a version history accessible at /terms/changelog
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree, you may close your account before the effective date.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
